My name is Rachelskirts. I live in Chicago, which really is my kind of town. I like to sing about that with Frank Sinatra and some of my other old jazz buddies who hang out on my iPod all day long, like Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong and Dean Martin and Nat King Cole. Mostly, they do the singing, but sometimes I join in if we're home alone or in the car.

When I'm not busy chilling with dead musicians, I'm either getting paid by my church to make pretty publications for the women's ministries department (a job which involves more butterflies than you could ever imagine) or I'm sitting at home reading and writing blogs. Occasionally, I pretend to know something about web design, but that's really just an excuse I made up to play with lovely fonts more often.

Because you might not know me very well, I probably shouldn't scare you away by getting wrapped up in how much I love office supplies or The Lord of the Rings or Sims 2. Just know that I have quite a number of obsessions, quirks, oddities, etc. They're charming, I promise. Maybe.

Oh, and one last thing. I've spent the past three years of my life skipping college classes in Texas. All my friends are still there, and most of them live on the same dorm floor, which is called Club. They're a great group of guys who sit around with me to watch Samurai Jack or hang out with me at Wal*mart or go to dinner with me at Wingstop. I miss them dearly, so please forgive me if I write a lot of sad little entries in honor of their greatness.
