The Doodle Years: Part One of Infinity

My sincere apologies, y'all. I have so many great entries to share with you, but they all stem from pictures currently being held hostage by my camera. Mr. Camera doesn't like talking to my computer anymore, and it seems to be rejecting the memory card now, too. Until I get it fixed or buy a new one, all pictures will be replaced with hastily sketched drawings by yours truly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

P.S. If anyone would like to suggest an affordable but amazing point-and-shoot, please do so in the comments. I would sincerely appreciate your input.

P.P.S. If you'd rather help me out by donating pictures, drawings, or guest posts, that would be great, too.

I won a Sony Cyber-Shot at a Company Christmas part in 2006, and I love the thing. It's small and takes good pics. I really don't know what you would consider affordable. Mine was free (which is definitely affordable), but yours will run about $150.

Blindsquirrel: Anything over $300 would have to wait for a while, so $150 is the perfect price. I'll definitely look into it. Thanks!

That's so sad. My camera broke like 3 years ago, so I've been using my parents' camera, but it just broke last week.
Bleh. I am in need of a good one too, preferably free.

I think it's Canon that has the Elph series. They range in price but my folks just picked one up for $140 and it's great. It even has a feature that puts a realistic tan on people in the photo.

On the other hand, I do like the idea of hastily-drawn sketches.

My camera came free with my printer. I love it and all, but it's not particularly magnificent. I think it's about $150 if you buy it by itself. It's an HP something-or-other, and the only reason I know this off the top of my head is that my printer's an HP.

Don't worry! The sketches would add a more... uh... personal touch, eh.

I don't have one personally but I've used the Canon PowerShot A 570 quite a bit. It's a decent point and shoot for about $150. Maybe a little bulky but it takes great quick shots.

Here's an excellent one that I bought for Britt for her birthday, and it's under $150: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830120193

Hey, when you get any good suggestions for a camera you should pass them on to me. Otherwise, I have some exciting news for you. Come August 2008, SAGA will have new management and a new dining service. How exciting is that?! Exciting, especially since the company is known for their great service at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Wheaton University: Bon Appetit.

Let me know what you would like a picture of and my 62 crayon set will work its magic--I have strong hands and broke two of the crayons, so far.
