Thanks to the always fabulous Rachel Elizabeth, I learned of a site called SparkPeople.com. I've only been using it for three days, but I've already cut my calorie intake in half and have put my lazy butt on an elliptical machine for the first time in probably a year. That could all end by tomorrow, but I thought I'd pass along the link to anyone looking for a helping hand in losing weight or maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dude, SparkPeople is awesome! I've been using it for years. The message boards are packed with illiterate spazzes, but the food journal feature is awesome.

TheDailyPlate.com has a much better and larger database if SparkPeople's doesn't meet your needs.

We should totally be motivation workout buddies. I've lost 6lbs in the last week and a half (probably mostly water weight) but I'm finally getting my fat butt into shape. I just need to focus on the working out bit harder, because I'm liking the healthy eating bit. I use The Daily Plate to keep track of what I eat, and it makes a difference. It's just hard to find the motivation to work out when I have zero cash to throw at a gym and own no workout equipment at home, and all of my friends are skinny pretty bitches (and muscly dudes).
