Plogging

Blogging from your phone is called "plogging," right? Or is that what we call blogging while planking? (True story: I've never planked. I'm just that lazy. Also, I think "plogging" is one of the worst words ever.)

The suggested topic for BEDS today is "favorite movie." Pfft. if you don't know about my obsession with Lord of the Rings, then I'm going to have to ask you to turn in your apron. Unless you were about to bake something with a lot of chocolate. Slightly related: the chocolate cake shake from Portillo's is the best chocolate cake shake that money can buy.

Ahem. Back to talking about hobbits.

Nope. Just kidding. I'm going to go watch Fellowship of the Ring now. I've been up since 3 a.m. and have struggled to meet roughly thirty million deadlines for two bazillion projects at work this week. I need an extra spoonful of Frodo before bed.

So what's your favorite movie? Follow-up: if you answered with anything other than Lord of the Rings, how do you live with yourself? Should I send some tissues? Sorry you're so lame!

What I am going to tell you will disappoint you but I am going to tell you anyway.

My favourite movie is either The Bourne Identity or The Bourne Ultimatum. I don't know why I don't think as highly of The Bourne Supremacy. Nothing against anyone but there wasn't enough (imo) action/crime/mystery/thriller-type stuff in LOTR. Or European architecture.

I actually really enjoy those movies, but 90% of that love probably stems from my love of Matt Damon. But I do legitimately enjoy good action movies, too. It just so happens that the action movies I watch the most have gorgeous male leads. (Can we talk about how many times I've watched Casino Royale? No? FINE.)

Princess Bride. Lame? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. ;-)

Okay, that is a legitimately amazing movie. If I had to come up with a list of ten favorite movies ASIDE from Lord of the Rings, that would definitely make the cut.

To be fair...does anyone other than Portillo's even offer a chocolate cake milkshake?

It's hard for me to pick just one movie (or series of movies :]), so I've usually just kept a small list of favorites: Star Wars original trilogy (of course), Dead Poets Society, Tommy Boy, Moulin Rouge. Lord of the Rings is a given. :)

And What About Bob? I can't forget that one!

Oh, you're going to hate me for saying this but I have yet to see Lord of the Rings! O_O I know right! I am putting that on my list of movies to view!

PUT IT AT THE TOP OF THE LIST. JUST KIDDING. IT SHOULD BE THE ONLY THING ON THE LIST.

Okay, so I had to get one of those chocolate cake shakes... and YES. OMG amazing.

Favorite movie: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. And, no, that is not lame.

I actually stumbled across your blog a couple weeks ago while searching for a quote from Lord of the Rings. =) I have an obsession as well (though it has become more tame over the years). It will forever trump all other movies, in my opinion! Enjoyed reading your blog!! =)

Haha, I love that a search for Lord of the Rings quotes brought you here. Mission complete. :)

P.S. If you're on Twitter and enjoy quotes from the movies, I'm on a very long quest to quote through the whole trilogy at @LOTR. You're welcome to follow along!
