Jamie - After two hours, we were only done with like a third of the yard (with three people working on it!), so we gave up and ate cookies. I can't believe my grandparents do all that work themselves usually!!
Thursday's Child - Actually, I haven't used a broom inside in years. Swiffer is the way to go on that front. Too bad there isn't an equivalent to that in the world of raking. Yet. (No, a leaf blower wouldn't work on the MASSIVE amounts of wet leaves in this yard.)
Oh well. At least it was too cold for bugs to be out and biting. Or for the sun to be out and burning. I walked away with no injuries except my really sore muscles and my broken spirit.

I'm pretty sure you are going to be raking leaves for the rest of your life!

I hate raking. It's like sweeping, but outside, which makes it extra bad because 1)I hate sweeping and 2)I hate outside.

Yeah, raking can be annoying, especially if you're in a forest. It's like trying to sweep the sand off the beach.

Gilligan - Exactly!!
