Things currently on or near my desk:
- Ten action movies.
- Nine books.
- Eight undecipherable Post-It notes.
- Seven CDs of pictures from work.
- Six pairs of earrings.
- Five headbands.
- Four crayons.
- Three candy wrappers.
- Two bottles of nail polish.
- One very disappointing candle that does not smell like peppermint..
That's just the beginning. Looks like I need my cat to help me shove all this stuff onto the floor this weekend. (Just kidding, Mom. I do actually know how to clean. It's just more fun this way.)

Your desk sounds almost exactly like my sister's.

Are the numbers accurate? If so, that's somewhat nifty. How and why did you notice?

*ears perk up* Did someone say nail polish?
Even if it doesn't smell, that is one wicked cool looking candle. You cold always add a couple drops of fragrance oil to the warm wax (or gel, in this case).

I don't know how to count high enough to even begin to enumerate the amount of crap sitting on or around my desk. I /really/ need to clean up.

Solomon Broad - 1) Hi! Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. :) Love the idea of your site... Very inspirational. 2) Aye, I'm pretty sure us Messy Desk people could start quite a sizable club, assuming we didn't lose each other's contact information in the sea of Post-Its.
Jace of Fuse! - I noticed when I went to go write up this entry without putting the items in any particular order. As the list grew, I saw that I had the makings of this entry and... Voila!
Scrangie - One of the bottles is even from OPI! I felt all snazzy receiving that in my Christmas stocking this year. (This is not at all meant to creep you out, but I now think of you any time I'm picking out or putting on nail polish. I've been getting myself in the habit of actually putting on a base coat and a top coat and making sure layers are dry before slopping on the next one. It's like I don't want to let you down, even though you would never know.)
I actually have fragrance oil in peppermint, but it never crossed my mind to add it to a candle. You're such a genius.
Thursday's Child - Yeah, I had to severely edit the list of things on my desk to avoid writing a ten-page essay on "How to Build Tiny Skyscrapers of Crap on One's Desk: Volume 1 of 350 (The Condensed Version)." Some days, I'm actually impressed with myself.

I know there are big issues facing the world... global warming, Darfur... but can I just say that nothing upsets me more than a candle that doesn't smell as nice as it's supposed to? It's false advertising.
