I've been watching 24 with my brother all weekend because, well, there aren't any new episodes of House to watch. Usually, I can only manage one or two episodes at a time before I feel like I'm about to have a heart attack from all the stress of shouting, "OH MY GOSH, KIM. YOU ARE A MORON!" But this season finally sucked me in, and I really needed to keep watching until I found out what happened to the bomb, Jack, Kim, the President, Mrs. Palmer, Lynn, George, etc.
So tonight, while the stupid little "countdown to the commercial" noise was happening — doo . . . DOO . . . doo . . . DOO — I took the liberty of summarizing the season thus far. Well, really, I was trying to find something to do that was less annoying than adding "... ladies" to the end of every Jack Bauer line. ("I AM THE POLICE ...ladies." / "I love you more than anything in this whole world ...ladies." / "SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP ...ladies.")
Behold. The worst drawing I have ever created and yet still somehow the best:
Special close-up preview:
If you haven't watched the show, this entry won't make a smidgen of sense to you, and I'm okay with that. You should probably watch it when you find the time. Otherwise, just rest in blissful ignorance, knowing that my drawings are extraordinarily accurate and rejoicing that you aren't the one risking multiple heart attacks for the sake of entertainment.

Okay, adding "...ladies" to the end of everything is not annoying; it's freaking hilarious. I've never heard of that, but it's almost as good as "... in my pants."

seven: I had actually forgotten about the "...ladies" thing until gRegor started following me on Twitter. (Follow @gregorlove and @dotdotdotladies, if you're so inclined.) It's something both he and I picked up from Demetri Martin, a comedian whose genius is available YouTube and probably other fun places.

1) Everyone was perfectly captured - well done
2) I read your Flickr notes and found the fact that you ran out of time before adding the other characters wonderfully ironic
3) The fact that Jack is cross-eyed in this picture made my day, and is quite possibly worthy of shirtdom.

If you're pissed about Kim being stupid, you must be watching Season 2, aka "The Worst Season of 24 Ever."
The "...in my pants" thing was entertaining when I was young. This one time a bunch of us (guys) and one girl were hanging out in my friend's room, and we started playing that game. The problem was, to the untrained ear of a parent, a room of 5 guys with a girl saying "This is stupid, let's find another game to play... in my pants" is apparently a red flag that it's time for everyone to go home.

You know, I watched season 1 religiously. Then I watched season 2 on DVD. My ability to suspend disbelief stopped after that. But, man, I was always on the edge of my seat when I did watch, though.
Those drawings are spot-on. Very well done, Skirts.

I haven't ever watched 24, I still appreciate your cartoons though. ha ha "...ladies" is a good one, rather then saying "... in my pants." we say "...down there" same concept really, just less sylables.

Yesss. My work here is done. :) Thanks for the mention. Haven't seen more than one episode of 24, but am familiar enough with the premise that I got the Jack Bauer stuff. Honestly what I know of the show makes me really not interested in seeing it, heh.

Found you through an old diaryland friend. Glad I did, because you're a very good read. I'll be back! =)
I would get so stressed during 24 that the only remedy, of course, was to eat ice cream while watching the show. Luckily, Ben & Jerry are also big fans of 24.

I drew my own 24 artwork a while ago, too.
